Cross Country Winter Series Points Update

Handicap and Championship points are now updated for this week. These include expected times for today’s run at Grays Point for those running today. The point score files are available here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ISmA-qAA-NhNIz-voPqEfGt2JaRmugO_

Please note, there has been one change to the Championship points structure. The age group for the 2km Junior Club Championship has changed from U12 to U11 meaning that the 2km championship is only open to athletes who will be 10 and under on the 31st December 2024. Athletes who are older than this age will still accumulate handicap points for that event but will not receive championship points unless they run in the event for their age group.
This change is to align with the distances that children run at Schools Cross Country which is 2km for 8, 9 and 10 year age groups and 3km for 11, 12 and 13 year age groups. This updated change has all been published in the handbook.

To recap, the 2km Club Championship is open to the U11 age group (10 and under on 31st December 2024). The 3km Club Championship is open to the U14 age group (13 and under on 31st December 2024). The 5km Club Championship is contested in the U17, U20 and Open Age Groups. The 10km Club Championships in the Open Age Group. The handicap pointscores for 2km, 3km, 5km and 10km are all open events.

See you this afternoon.
