2023 WORLD XC CHAMPIONSHIPS: BATHURST
A great day at the World Championships saw OLLI HOARE and the Australian Mixed Relay team clinch a Bronze against some very elite competition!
Congratulations to Olli and all Australian athletes who competed in the very tough conditions both from the hot weather (which reached 35°C) and the tricky course.
Athletes had to negotiate a short muddy section, sand, steep climbs, tyre chicanes, hay bales as well as narrow vineyard section which could only be traversed in single files!
Spectators flooded the course at numerous vantage points which created an exciting atmosphere in what was the first World Athletics Championship to be held in Australia in 27 years!
