CROSS COUNTRY SEASON UPDATE

The committee has made the decision to continue the season should the current COVID19 situation improve and restrictions are eased.

With ANSW making the decision to re-schedule the NSW XC Championship to the weekend of 25-26 September, we want to give members the opportunity to prepare for the competition and get some post-lockdown runs in.

If the situation allows, the season will continue from 4th September with races being held at the following locations;
• 4th September: Audley
• 11th September: Grays Point
• 18th September: Bottle Forest

Current point scores for the season will continue in line with these additional races.

For other races, the Sydney Half (NSW Half Marathon) has been re-scheduled to take place on Saturday 10th October at Sydney Olympics with refunds available if those entered are unable to compete on this new date.
The NSW Short Course Cross Country Championship has unfortunately been cancelled for this year due to the difficulty in finding an alternative date.

The decision to continue will be guided by announcements and guidelines made by the NSW Government and may be adjusted accordingly.

We will keep you all updated if there are any developments which may affect this timeline and to confirm how the season will continue.

As always, hope that everyone is well and keeping up their running.🙂

REMINDER: Oliver Hoare’s 1500m Olympic Final is on this Saturday night 9:40pm.
