SDAC 2019 cross country season off to a flying start

Grays Point provided a beautiful backdrop for the first run of the season. Despite threatening weather in all parts of the Shire, most of the (1km, 2km, 3km and 5km) program was completed in near perfect conditions.

It was hardly surprising to see Craig (Crowie) Alexander storming home in the 5km race. Andy Cross raised no eyebrows chasing him down for second. Daniel Watchorn cruised over the line in third.

A standout performance for my mind was 4th placed Sam Mood. Sam has clearly been doing some solid training over summer and looked strong. At 16 years of age, Sam looks to have a promising season ahead.

Next week (23.3.19) sees us head to Waterfall to contest the Uloola Falls Track, with races over 1km, 2km, 3km, 5km and 8km.
